Salmon Ramen Bowls
When the urge for something warm and satisfying is what you are craving, or if your teen just wants to impress their lunch mates, this is the go-to meal.
Serves 1
Ingredients
A wide mouth thermos or insulated bowl with a lid is needed – an insulated bento box would work well.
1 package instant ramen noodles of your choice
1 oz carrots finely shredded
1 oz bean sprouts of choice
3 to 4 oz leftover cooked salmon
Finely chopped green onion
1 soft boiled egg
Shredded nori
Optional condiments – sriracha sauce, teriyaki sauce or spicy mayo
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the insulated bowl/thermos by filling it with hot water and setting aside for about 5 minutes to heat the lining. Once the thermos is hot, empty the water used to heat it.
Step 2
Place the dry ramen noodles into the thermos. Sprinkle in the seasoning packet and fill with hot water.
Step 3
In a separate container/containers pack the remaining ingredients.
Step 4
When you are ready to eat, remove the lid from the thermos and pour the cooked ramen and hot broth into a bowl or if the container is large enough you may choose to use it as your bowl.
Step 5
Add the salmon, shelled soft boiled egg cut in half, prepared vegetables and shredded nori.
Step 6
Drizzle with the condiments of your choosing and enjoy.
