Jewish Influencers to Follow on Instagram

We may not want to admit it, but for many of us social media has become part of our everyday life. We communicate with friends and family via Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram. With coworkers and associates via LinkedIn, Twitter and TikTok. We follow celebrities and people who have similar interests to ourselves. Those that have followers in the thousands and more are often known as influencers. Many influencers make quite a nice living off of their ability to sway their followers by promoting a product or idea. There are a plethora of influencers out there who talk about every topic under the sun. It can be overwhelming. Here are a few Jewish influencers on Instagram that we think are worth following.

may have taken the title of Jewish influencer before there was such a thing. Since her days as the TV character Blossom, Mayim has had an influence on Jewish women and girls. Stepping back into mainstream television with her role on The Big Bang Theory, Mayim engaged a whole new generation of young women. She is relatable and down to earth, sharing tidbits from her family life and she is very publicly Jewish. Her instagram account has almost 4M followers and her podcast on mental health has over 77K followers. She isn’t vapid, she has a PHD in neuroscience and her intelligence is apparent in the way she presents herself.

With over 75K followers on her personal instagram and over 77K on her website Jewlish by Jamie and perhaps hundreds of thousands on various other media outlets, Jamie is up there with many secular celebrities and influencers. She keeps things very down to earth and always presents as a true Eishet Chayil. For more on Jamie please check out our interview with her in our November Inside Scoop with Jamie Geller.

With 24K followers founder Kerri Bar Cohen must be doing something right! This insta account is a place for Jewish women to post reels, ads and pictures in one collected area. Kerri also cross posts with her personal account @kerrybarcohen (where she has over 21K followers). She is also known as Rebbetzin Tap. Dr Bar Cohen is by profession a chiropractor with a practice in Beit Shemesh, Israel.

or as she is better known – The Jew in The City. With over 22K followers she is definitely an influencer to watch. Founder and Executive Director of Jew in The City, a nonprofit organization as well as a popular blog and website, Allison leads a team of many people to make sure that the voices of Orthodox Jews are heard and respected. On the website it is stated that their main goal is dedicated to “changing negative perceptions of religious Jews and making engaging and meaningful Orthodox Judaism known and accessible. This is achieved by highlighting an approach based on kindness, tolerance, sincerity, and critical thinking”.
